On February 2nd, thirty-four young men took part in an almost four hour long ceremony at St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Dillwyn, VA. Throughout the course of the afternoon, twenty-four first-year seminarians received the cassock, and eight received the tonsure. One seminarian was elevated to the second Minor Orders, and another to the subdiaconate. This magnificent ceremony takes place every year on the feast of Our Lady’s Purification.
