Michael Cassman is the oldest of 13 children from a devout Catholic family.  He was born in Tucson, AZ, but has spent most of his life in Nashville, TN. After graduating high school, Michael attended seminary for the Diocese of Nashville at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. After his first year in seminary, Michael left formation for the diocese of Nashville and began the process for attending the seminary for the Society of St. Pius X.

As part of his preparation for seminary, Michael was sent to Los Gatos, CA to volunteer at St. Aloysius Retreat Center. During this time Michael was given the opportunity to serve daily Mass, pray the Divine Office with the community, learn the life of the religious of the Society, and acquire a wide variety of practical knowledge and skills. In June of 2017, Michael was officially accepted by St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary for the 2017-2018 academic year.

In August of 2017, Michael returned home to be with his family until once again returning to seminary formation on October 4, 2017. We ask that you consider supporting Michael Cassman with a tax-deductible donation to offset his seminary expenses. Flower of Charity accepts one-time and recurring online donations which will be sent to the seminary. Please donate using the form below. God bless you!
